Italy are European Champions

Congratulations to Italy for winning Euro 2020!! They were the best team throughout the tournament and as much as I hate to say it, they did deserve to win the trophy. This young team were seen as dark horses and nobody except for the Italians believed they could win it. Bonucci and Chiellini have proven themselves to be one of the best defenders of this generation and there is no other duo anyone would rather have on their defense. Insigne, Jorginho, Chiesa, Verratti, and Spinazzola have all announced themselves to the world and will certainly be getting bigger contracts and attention from clubs. Finally, Mancini has led this team, which did not even qualify for the World Cup in 2018, to another tournament victory; a victory that will go down as one of the greatest, if not the greatest, victory in Italian history.

This blog post is all about Italy. Tomorrow I will release a post on what went wrong for England and analyze whether this team can bounce back in the World Cup next year. But for now, congratulations to the Azzurri... well deserved trophy.
