Spain vs Italy Prediction

The first of two semifinals matches occurs tomorrow at noon PT. I cannot wait, it is gonna be a good one!! Spain is a surprise team as they were not expected to make such a deep run in the tournament. They have a lot of young players and without Sergio Ramos, I certainly did not expect them to go this far. The same story can also be said of Italy as they were seen as dark horses by many. Pretty much everyone sees them as title contenders after their world class performance against Belgium.

Even though both teams were seen as underdogs, at this stage of the tournament Italy is the overwhelming favorite to win this match and rightly so. With players such as Insigne and Immobile who can score at any second, Italy poses a real attacking threat to the Spanish defense lead by Laporte. To add on to this, the midfield trio of Barella, Jorginho, and Verratti may well be the best midfield trio of the tournament. I do not think the Spanish have enough firepower to counter this Italian team. Morata is far from a solid striker and the Spanish defense has been very shaky at times throughout this tournament. Italy will put three past Spain and Spain will score a late consolation goal. Italy will win 3-1 and will advance to the finals of Euro 2020.

This has the potential to be a very good game, we will just have to wait and watch to see what pans out. Italy vs Spain in the Euro 2020 semifinals... should be a good one
